Procrastinating
So I have this drawing project that I should be doing... but instead I ended up just doing a bunch of stuff in my sketchbook. I hate when art classes interfere with my art. Here's some schtuff.
Basically going for the tall dark and scary type you hear about in the horoscopes
I stuck it to the Man and used oil pastels to color up this sketch. It was my first time to ever use them, kinda fun! but I definitely need to practice with it
Random creature drawing. I really need to improve my imaginative drawings of people and creatures. Sorry the quality isn't to good, it was really late at night when i took this picture and the lighting isn't ideal for photos in my room, but I think you can get the idea.
And well, these weren't from yesterday, but I decided to put them in anyway. Theyre 30 second -1 minute poses from FEWS on Friday. Again sorry for the poor quality and somewhat rainbowish backgrounds. While my phone is awesome at taking pictures outside and with natural light, its not too good at shots of artwork.

Sketchbooking
Brandon Oldenburg (cofounder of ReelFX) came over from Dallas this week to do some presentations and what not. He's an awesome guy and ReelFX is looking like a very promising company. It'll be interesting to see how they develop over the next couple years.
Yes, I actually got inspired by a stick I found on the ground.
Random landscapes from the Ringling Museum and the bayou
So we're sitting around and somehow we start talking about Ninja Turtles and how all their names were Renaissance artists and Avner said it would be a cool way to learn your art history if they had a TV show for the real artists... like Da Vinci! I painted over this in white ink and I was going to use color pencil on top of the ink... but I kinda like the flat look. Any suggestions? comments?

First Post!
Here's a piece I did in highschool that I really had fun doing... too bad it got lost :(
In my higschool GT English class we had independent studies where we pretty much made our own projects, so I made some miniature models. This one was made of insulation board, newspaper, sand, and posterboard.
Art History
Random unsuspecting victims of my sketchbook at lunch one day.
Me! for a 3D "self portrait" project.
